It’s a classic rock that I love so much it’s that kind of song that you just want to swing your body to, move your waist a little slower, just shake the body kind of rhythm – in short, this song just needs a little salsa on a slower tempo you get what I am saying *winks* I discovered that recently, I have been jamming this song a whole lot. The song is no other than ‘Baby Girl’ by Nel Oliver a Beninese musician. Often times, I’ve found myself swinging my 24 inches waist to this song in front of the mirror e no easy to get small waist I tell you. This song gives me goose pimples whenever I listen to it. The lyrics of the song I’m gonna give you FOC! I’m that nice.

That reminds me of my trip to Benin Republic last year Ogun State is kinda a little closer to that area. The combination of these languages in one song makes it very unique and amazing. It made me cry, not because I was sad but rather because it brought me so much joy and I wanted my father to sing this song to me on my special day. As a child whenever the song came on, it invoked an array of emotions. There was something so sincere in the words that captivated my innocent little heart. The song basically tells a loving father’s wishes for his daughter on her wedding day. I remember one of my favorite songs was Nel Oliver’s baby girl. One of my favorite memories as a child was in my grandma’s house singing along to music as it played on her old black and white television.
